Descriptive Statistics
In this series of videos I discuss various statistics that allow us to better understand our data. I discuss the simple mean, the geometric mean, the standard deviation, the mean, the mode, skewness, kurtosis and other measures. In all cases examples are presented for a more intuitive understanding of how these statistics are employed in quantitative analysis.
In this video I am showing you how to obtain the simple average in excel using three different methods: 1) using the "average" command 2) installing and using the "Data Analysis Toolpak" and 3) downloading and using my own excel file that provides the same results as the "Data Analysis Toolpak" however with results that update automatically whenever you update the data..
